How Do You Know, Reese Witherspoon's character Lisa briefly meets with a therapist (played by Tony Shalhoub) after seeing her passion and identity crushed when she gets cut from her Olympic softball team. She asks him: "I was just wondering if there was one general thing that you've found over the years to be generally true in a general way that would help anyone in any situation."
His reply: "That's a great question. Yes. I would say, figure out what you want and learn how to ask for it."
Her response: "Those are both really hard."
